MOTOROLA MOTO G 3RD GEN REVIEW

Motorola launched its midrange android smartphone namely Moto G 3nd Gen (dual sim) in India which is priced @ 11,999/- (8GB Variant) & 12999/- (16GB Variant) sold via Flipkart. It is available is Black and white shades with exchangeable colorfull back panels.

DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is good. It has corning glass 3 on front and a matte plastic on the back and feels great in hands. It is slim at 11.6mm and weighs 155gms. It has 5 inch HD IPS display of resolution 720 x 1280 with 294 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is very good. It runs on very close stock android User Interface. The display supports 5 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is great.

STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITIES
It has 8GB/16GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 32GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps like google play music for songs and a stock gallery and a video player which are good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 21mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & upto 5.76mbps upload, Wifi b/g/n, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy) but lacks NFC.

CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and Led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is very good overall. Daytime the images are very good and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images still image quality at night is quite nice. It does HD 1080p@30fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound but lacks HDR having bit-rate of 16 mbps and stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is very good and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is quite nice could have been bit better. It also has a 5MP front camera for selfe's which does 720p video recording and clarity is quite very good.

SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It has a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-Bit SOC running a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.2 GHZ (ARM Cortex-A53 architecture) with 1GB RAM (2GB RAM with 16GB storage variant) and Adreno 306 (450MHZ Single-Core) GPU. The performance is Excellent which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run very well and there is no lag at all.

BATTERY LIFE PERFORMANCE
